Add Your Favorite Widget
You can add any notification widgets which you find are very useful to you. Swipe down the Notification centre from iPhone’s home screen, select ‘Today’, tap ’Edit’ to find all the installed apps and their supporting widgets. To add them into Notification centre, select the green button with plus sign.
Create Separate Groups or Hide Contacts
To find a particular contact number, scrolling the long list of contacts can be very irritating. iPhone settings allows you to create groups for specific contacts which makes it easy to search.
If there are some contacts which you do not use often and do not want to see on the list, you can easily hide such contact numbers.
Open Phone App, tap on Groups link and uncheck the boxes of those contacts which you want to hide.
Turn-off Annoying Repeat Message Alert
It is highly annoying if you get repeat alerts for the messages. Your phone will notify for the same message again and again.
To turn it off, go to ‘Messages’, and set ‘Never’ under ‘Repeat Alerts’ option.
Do Not Disturb
This is a very useful feature in your iPhone. If you enable ‘Do Not Disturb’ option, your phone will ring only when you receive call from your favourite person or if someone calls you more than once within 3 minutes which indicates it is an important/emergency call.
Under the phone Settings, choose Do Not Disturb and toggle the option. You can also set the time frame to silence the calls.
Avoid Unwanted Results In Spotlight Search
The ever useful Siri suggestions have improved the iOS9 search. But it is not necessary to see all kinds of results. It is possible to customize Spotlight Search so that you can avoid unwanted results in the search.
Go to ‘Spotlight Search’ under ‘Settings’. Uncheck the check mark on each category and remove from search results.
