10. Chilli Crab
Mattar road seaface barbeque serves one of the best chilli crab in southeast Singapore. It takes an hour to serve this dish but all worth the wait.
9. Wanton Mee
Probably influenced by Hong Kong, the Singaporean version of the wanton noodles is eaten dry drenched in sweet sauce, pork char siew and wanton dumplings filled with pork, along with a bowl of soup.

8. Century eggs
This Chinese dish is made by preserving chicken, duck or quail eggs in a saline solution for some weeks which results in a grey yolk and egg white turned into black-coffee brown colour. This dish is available at Din Tai Fung
7. Sambal Stingray
This Malay-Singaporean delicacy is served at the Lau Pa Sat food court. The fish is marinated in the sambal paste, wrapped in banana leaf and then barbecued.
6. Kaya Toast and Soft Boiled Eggs
One of the traditional Singaporean dish. A rectangular loaf of bread is toasted, lathered with coconut or egg kaya and then slapped with a thick slice of SCS butter. The stall that serves the best kaya toast is Chin Mee Chin.
